Job summary

Commas seeks an Onboarding Specialist in Miami to review seller onboarding, gather documentation, and assess risk. You will determine approval, escalation, or decline decisions based on KYC/KYB criteria and collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Leadership to maintain regulatory standards.

The role focuses on fast-paced, detail-oriented workflows, with strong emphasis on accurate financial analysis, documentation review, and clear written communication with sellers.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in risk, underwriting, compliance, trust & safety, payments, fintech, or financial services operations.
• Experience reviewing bank statements, identity documents, and legal documents.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Skip trace software and Google Workspace.
• Strong written communication: clear, professional, concise messages.
• Ability to follow structured workflows, playbooks, and SLAs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to analyze edge cases and elevate when outside standard rules.

Responsibilities

• Review onboarding documents to ensure seller risk and compliance.
• Communicate with sellers to request documents and resolve discrepancies.
• Decide to approve, escalate, or decline accounts per risk criteria.
• Prepare underwriting summaries with quantitative and qualitative insights.
• Analyze financial statements and tax returns to assess risk.
• Maintain timely productivity and turnarounds per department goals.
