Job summary

Power Construction is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to enhance the new-hire experience for non-union staff. You will coordinate onboarding from offer to day one, manage HRIS data entry and reporting, and support engagement programs.

The role reports to the HR Generalist and requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in HR or onboarding. You will collaborate with Hiring Managers, IT, Payroll and Learning & Development to ensure accurate data, smooth orientations, and consistent Power culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a business-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, onboarding, recruiting or employee experience roles.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Detail oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a customer service focused mindset.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the new hire onboarding process for all non-union employees from offer letter acceptance through first day of employment.
• Oversee pre-employment activities, including testing, paperwork and HRIS system set-up.
• Plan and facilitate all day-one orientation sessions and align messaging with Power culture.
• Provide back-up coverage for Union and Intern hiring and onboarding.
• Input and maintain new hire data in HRIS and Resource Management Systems; generate reports as needed.
• Assist with offer letter drafting and benefits enrollment.
• Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding materials, tools and processes.
• Create and manage company-wide employee experience and engagement programs.
• Support collegiate recruiting efforts with on-campus interviews and travel logistics.
• Manage external job postings and serve as back-up for Aviation Group and Healthcare-related projects.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all matters.
