Job summary

Factory in San Francisco is seeking a senior onboarding program owner to design and drive the new-hire experience from offer to day-30. You will collaborate with leadership to build scalable, AI-enabled onboarding systems, set metrics, and continuously improve based on data.

You will partner with IT, Facilities, Payroll, HR Ops, and hiring managers to ensure a seamless, fast, and welcoming ramp for new hires.

Qualifications

4+ years in onboarding, HR/People operations, or similar build-and-run role in a fast-growing startup.
Bias toward action; comfortable building systems while operating in real time.
Fluency with AI tools and eagerness to automate and scale people processes.
Strong project management; can run multiple workstreams concurrently.
Analytical mindset to define metrics and translate them for leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication; low ego, high ownership.

Responsibilities

Design and own onboarding program end to end: pre-boarding, first day, first week, first 30 days.
Build scalable systems and workflows that scale with headcount.
Use AI tools to automate repetitive onboarding tasks like documentation, scheduling, FAQs, progress tracking.
Own handoff from offer acceptance to first day: background checks, immigration, equipment, paperwork, welcome communications.
Define and track success metrics and report back to leadership.
Continuously iterate based on data, feedback, and instinct.
