About the Position

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking an Onboarding and Training Coordinator that plays a critical role in ensuring employees receive effective and timely training to support their success. This role is responsible for managing and updating learning content, administering the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinating mandatory training programs, and ensuring completion compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

LMS Administration & Support

  • Manage and maintain the LMS, including new user account setup, password re-sets, course uploads, system troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Organize training catalogs, assign learning paths, and ensure system functionality.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries related to training access and completion tracking.

Training Deployment & Compliance Tracking

  • Schedule and push out required training for new hires and employees identified for specialized learning programs, including all required HR and EHS training for new hires.
  • Train new hires on company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legally mandated training requirements (e.g., workplace safety, harassment prevention).
  • Generate and distribute reports on training completion status to department leaders and HR.

Training Completion Follow-up & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Send reminders and follow up with employees and managers to ensure timely course completion.
  • Market company learning to ensure greater participation.
  • Work closely with department leaders to track specialized training progress and provide updates.
  • Identify and escalate non-compliance cases to HR and EHS leadership when and where necessary.
