Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) seeks an Employee in Charge (EIC) in Twin Falls, ID to provide essential on-track safety services for freight railroads and transit systems. The role requires coordinating train movements, safety briefings, and enforcing policies while traveling extensively.

The incumbent will set up safety tools, prepare field reports, and maintain clear communications with dispatchers and crews. A valid license and 2+ years in a railroad environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to travel for extended periods; sometimes months at a time.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company, preferably in the maintenance of way department.
• Ability to complete Federal, Client, and/or Company specific training.

Responsibilities

• Provide On-Track Safety such as setup of derails, track signs, and other safety tools.
• Prepare daily field reports and report any rule violations.
• Provide job-site coordination.
• Radio contact with Dispatchers and Train Crews to communicate worksite safety status.
• Conduct mandatory clear, concise, and thorough job briefings with all crew members before they enter the track.
• Enforce all Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
