Job summary

RISE Network seeks AmeriCorps On-Track Mentors to support ninth-grade students across Connecticut public high schools. You will provide personalized, data-driven coaching to ensure students build a solid foundation for high school and postsecondary success, reporting to the On-Track Mentor Program Manager.

The 10-month, full-time role starts in late summer 2026, with a bi-weekly stipend and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. Employment is contingent upon AmeriCorps grant funding.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with students, parents & educators.
• Proficient in tracking student progress and data entry.
• Experience working with high school-age Youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with students and school staff.
• Serve as liaison with families and provide regular progress updates.
• Manage a caseload up to 50 Grade 9 students facing challenges.
• Provide one-on-one coaching to keep students on track.
• Create personalized plans and monitor progress with regular check-ins.
• Coordinate academic and non-academic interventions with staff.
• Attend weekly On-Track meetings and share data insights.
• Facilitate group sessions and conferences.
• Identify early warning signs using data and intervene proactively.
• Maintain accurate records of meetings and outcomes.
