Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc., located in Elizabeth, New Jersey, seeks an On-The-Job Training (OJT) trainer to develop and deliver training for new, entry-level, or transferred employees in plant operations and related safety and quality programs.

You will supervise the Employee Training Qualification Program, conduct orientations, assess trainees, and help create work instructions and training materials while ensuring GMP/HACCP compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating machinery, GMPs and product specifications.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and procedures.
• Ability to write reports and procedures manuals.
• Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop OJT training programs and participate on teams developing training plans and OJT programs.
• Oversee and implement the Employee Training Qualification Program for Operations employees.
• Train and assess the performance of trainees against established training objectives.
• Ensure monthly safety and other compliance trainings and all other specifically required training.
• Conduct new employee orientation, OJT/classroom training and certification.
