Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience in packing machines/production machines
• Experience in a food manufacturing industry or similar
• Troubleshoot and repair filling equipment (Elopak/Scholle)
• Basic repairs related to electrical components and processing equipment
• Troubleshoot/change-over on packaging equipment
• Plumbing, heating and refrigeration knowledge
• English/Spanish communication preferred
• Organized, able to plan, prioritize and decide on product quality
• SAP knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment productivity through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Adhere to safety, USDA, OSHA, SQF and FDA guidelines
• Complete preventative maintenance on basic and processing equipment
• Read equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Monitor equipment efficiency and identify sources of failure
• Replace defective parts and verify dimensional requirements
• Maintain inventories and order parts as needed
• Uphold safe, sanitary conditions and report safety/food quality issues
