Job summary

WARREN SCREW PRODUCTS in Michigan seeks a Manufacturing and Process Engineer to collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance on developing reliable manufacturing processes and improving productivity.

The ideal candidate has machining experience, strong understanding of tooling, process documentation, and continuous improvement, and will work directly on the production floor with operators and leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred
An associate degree with significant manufacturing and machining experience may be considered
Three to seven years of manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred
Experience in precision machining or automotive/high-volume production environment preferred
Experience on the production floor is required

Responsibilities

Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing products
Review drawings, specifications, tolerances, materials, and special characteristics
Develop process flow diagrams, manufacturing instructions, and process parameters
Support launches of new products, equipment, tooling, and processes
Provide daily technical support to Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Toolroom
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, equipment, and productivity issues
Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects
Assist with tooling, fixture, and equipment evaluations and upgrades
Maintain process documentation and ensure compliance with quality procedures
Spend time on the production floor to understand and resolve manufacturing issues
