BlueWorx Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a well-established precision components manufacturer. This hands-on role focuses on fixing processes on the shop floor rather than writing memos.

You will drive process improvements across machining and assembly, troubleshoot line-down issues with production and quality teams, and design tooling and work instructions. Real ownership starts from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 2–3 years in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in high‑precision environments.
• Experience with CNC processes, GD&T, and process capability studies.

Responsibilities

• Drive process improvements across machining and assembly operations.
• Troubleshoot line-down issues in real time with production and quality teams.

What You’ll Do

• Drive process improvements across machining and assembly operations
• Partner with production and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve line‑down issues in real time
• Design, build, and implement tooling, fixtures, and work instructions
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives on the floor
• Support new product introduction from engineering handoff through full production

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
• 2–3 years in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in a high‑precision or tightly regulated environment
• Working knowledge of CNC processes, GD&T, and process capability studies
• Strong troubleshooting instincts and genuine comfort being on the plant floor, not just in a cubicle
• Lean or Six Sigma exposure is a plus
