Tectonic Engineering & Surveying Consultants P.C is seeking a full-time Certified Welding Inspector for a project in Old Saybrook, CT. The role involves traveling to sites daily to monitor fabrication and construction activities, inspecting welding and structural components, and coordinating testing as required.

Ideal candidates will hold an AWS CWI and ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector credentials, with strong communication skills and a valid driver’s license for on-site

Qualifications

• Must possess a HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain AWS CWI certification and ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Travel to project sites daily to monitor fabrication and construction activities.
• Perform welding, structural steel, and related inspections per plans and codes.
• Review welding procedures and inspect welded connections; coordinate non-destructive testing.
• Prepare Daily Field Reports and communicate deficiencies to project managers and clients.
