Job summary

Gilder Search Group's Northwest Suburbs, MN client is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead job-site operations for water and wastewater facilities. This is a hands-on supervisory role combining field oversight with direct construction tasks.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in water/wastewater or related fields and 2+ years in supervision, with experience in concrete, piping, and municipal/industrial projects. Travel minimal; competitive six-figure salary.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of construction experience in water/wastewater, municipal, industrial, or related fields.
At least 2 years of supervisory or crew-leadership experience.
Experience with concrete forming/finishing for flatwork and walls; Symons forms preferred.
Experience installing ductile iron process piping or mechanical systems.
Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules and material needs.
Valid driver's license; Class A CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

Direct daily on-site activities to meet safety, schedule, quality, and productivity targets.
Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, inspections, and on-site activities.
Implement and enforce safety programs; conduct safety meetings and mitigate hazards.
Monitor progress, complete field reports, track timecards, and flag production concerns.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, owners, inspectors, and subcontractors.
Perform hands-on work as needed, including concrete and piping tasks.
