Job summary

Inergroup, partnering with a leading construction firm in the DFW area, seeks an experienced Superintendent for municipal water and wastewater projects valued from $20M to $300M.

The role focuses on safety, planning, site utilization, cost control, and schedule adherence across pumping stations and new facilities. All work is local to DFW; join a strong, well‑established team with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Superintendent on municipal water and/or wastewater projects over $25M.
• Experience delivering large-scale civil construction projects in the municipal sector.
• Ability to manage safety, cost, schedule and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards; monitor safety planning, execution and documentation on assigned project
• Manage project planning, develop and execute the pre-job plan and determine construction techniques
• Develop and maintain the site utilization plan
• Review equipment requirements with the Project Manager
• Review monthly sub pay apps to ensure progress aligns with work
• Expedite vendors and subcontractors daily and weekly; resolve issues to keep schedule
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records
• Review weekly labor reports and monthly cost reports and adjust procedures to meet budget
• Manage the quality control program
• Comply with job site reporting requirements (daily reports, SOS, weekly updates)
• Maintain a clean and orderly job site
• Mitigate subcontractor change orders and back charges; document as required
• Close out the project per contract documents

Inergroup is partnering with a leading construction firm in the DFW area to identify an experienced Superintendent for major wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will oversee the construction of wastewater treatment plants, including pump stations, lift stations, major rehabilitation work, and new facility builds. Project values range from $20M to $300M, offering the opportunity to lead complex, high‑impact civil construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards; monitor safety planning, execution and documentation on assigned project
• Manager project planning, develop and execute the pre-job plan and determine the construction techniques to be used to construct the project.
• Develop and maintain the site utilization plan
• Review equipment requirements with the Project Manager
• Review monthly sub pay apps to ensure progress in line with actual work installed
• Expedite vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis, identify and resolve construction problems as they develop and keep the project on schedule
• Maintain accurate time keeping and cost records
• Review weekly labor reports and monthly total job cost reports carefully to determine areas needing special attention and initiate changes in procedures to bring costs back into budget
• Manage the quality control program
• Comply with all job site reporting requirements, including daily reports, SOS, weekly unit reports, weekly updates to the “two week look aheads” and monthly updates to construction schedule
• Maintain a clean and orderly job site
• Mitigate all potential subcontractor change orders and back charges that may affect project profitability and document them to the extent required
• Close out the project in compliance with the contract documents

Required

Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on Municipal water and/or wastewater projects over 25 million.
