Job summary

Thomas Scientific is seeking a TIMS VMI Coordinator to manage Vendor Managed Inventory at customer locations, including on-site inventory control, data accuracy, and replenishment coordination. You will work closely with Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to maintain service levels.

You will visit sites in Watertown and greater Boston, drive company vehicles, and identify opportunities for process improvements and upsell/cross-sell potential with the Sales

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, supply chain, warehouse operations, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills to support VMI objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform VMI visits according to the schedule and customer agreements.
• Manage customer inventory, including receiving, labeling, cycle counting, restocking.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP and Excel with real-time visibility.
• Verify product condition, expiration dates, and bin locations to prevent stockouts or overstock.
• Generate replenishment orders through ClearSpider and coordinate with Customer Service.
