Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Virtual Registered Nurse (VRN) to join our Together Team. While titled Virtual RN, the role is on-site at the central HUB VRN located at Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring and rotates weekends and holidays.

The VRN collaborates with bedside RNs and CNAs to manage patient care via digital platforms, adheres to ANA standards, and reports to nursing leadership. BSN preferred; MD RN license and five years acute care experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Maryland RN licensure required.
• Minimum five years RN experience in an acute care setting.
• EMR experience highly preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate, communicate, and document optimal care via digital platforms.
• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate care from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to support the care plan.
• Ensure smooth transition of care across the continuum.
• Perform chart audits to enhance quality and safety.
• Conduct virtual safety rounds and support governance.
