Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and layouts.
• Experience with site preparation surveying and layout.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct activities on the project while following company policies and OSHA/MSHA regs.
• Operate all heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineered plans and stake out in the field.
• Set up GPS base station and GPS-guided equipment.
• Lead daily crew activities and communicate production issues.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Complete daily fuel, load count, and hour logs; maintain expense reports.
• Maintain a professional appearance and keep company vehicle in good order.
• Maintain erosion controls and keep job site clean and on track.
• Ensure safety and drive project progress to meet goals.
