Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. seeks an experienced Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Foreman to lead field crews on nationwide heavy civil projects. You will plan, coordinate, and execute earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

In this role, you will supervise crews, read plans, use GPS machine control, and mentor team members while partnering with Superintendents and Project Managers to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of utility-scale heavy civil or earthwork experience.
• Minimum 2 years leading field crews as Foreman.
• Ability to read grading plans, project specs, and drawings.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily heavy civil construction activities for utility-scale projects.
• Plan daily work, coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret project drawings, grading plans, and specs.
• Coordinate earthwork, drainage, and site development activities.
• Ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on all tasks.
• Mentor crew members and develop future field leaders.
• Prepare daily reports and project documentation.
