Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Foreman to lead field crews on earthwork, grading, and site development for utility-scale projects across the United States. This field leadership role requires safety-first planning, daily coordination, and hands-on supervision to deliver quality work on schedule.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating crews and equipment, reading drawings, GPS machine control coordination, and mentoring crew members while upholding

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of utility-scale heavy civil or earthwork experience.
• Minimum 2 years as a Heavy Civil Foreman leading field crews.
• Ability to read grading plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily heavy civil construction activities for utility-scale projects.
• Plan daily work, coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret project drawings and grading plans.
• Coordinate GPS machine control and ensure grading accuracy.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project specs.
• Mentor crew members and develop future foremen and supervisors.
• Prepare daily reports and project documentation.
