Job summary

CSG Talent seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Utah. You will spearhead mechanical design across the full development cycle for quadcopter and fixed-wing platforms, from concept through production, collaborating with a small team to turn designs into functioning aircraft.

You will specialize in SolidWorks-based design, manufacturing drawings with GD&T, and DFMA practices, while addressing thermal and vibration considerations and supporting NPI and production

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with UAV systems and aircraft structures.
• Strong mechanical design skills from concept to production.
• Proficiency in GD&T and manufacturing drawings for machining, molding and composites.

Responsibilities

• Develop UAV parts, structures and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• Create manufacturing drawings and GD&T-based documentation.
• Support progression from prototype to production and NPI.
• Apply DFMA principles to machined, injection-molded and composite components.
• Manage design revisions and engineering records.
• Evaluate design trade-offs for thermal and vibration requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, testing and validation.
