Job summary

Platform Aerospace in Maryland seeks a Deployment Site Lead to manage on-site deployed personnel supporting customer operations and ensuring contract compliance and operational efficiency at the deployment site. When not deployed, you will support the Flight Operations Department with documentation management, operational planning, logistics coordination, and other duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Unmanned Systems or related field with 5+ years of related experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 1,000 hours of flight experience as Pilot in Command.
• Experience in deployed UAS ISR operations.
• DoD Secret clearance required.
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate required.
• Up to 100% CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site lead, overseeing deployed personnel and ensuring contract compliance and mission objectives.
• Act as Pilot in Command and conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks.
• Train and mentor deployed personnel on procedures and readiness.
• Coordinate between Platform, clients, and government/military officials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment/operational issues to maximize mission readiness.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance at the site.
• Conduct site inspections, briefings, and status reports.
• Manage housing, transportation, and welfare for personnel; lead pre/post-deployment briefings.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure mission continuity.
• Support Flight Operations with documentation, reporting, and process improvements when not deployed.
