Job summary

The Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro seeks a Kinder Care Coordinator to lead the TK/K program for ages 3-6 at a school-based site. You will guide a team of Youth Development Professionals, ensure developmentally appropriate activities, and create a safe, engaging environment that supports early learning.

In this full-time, on-site role, you will partner with teachers and families, monitor progress toward milestones, implement BGCA methodologies, and uphold safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: 48 college units or an AA in a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of experience with children ages 3-6.
• At least 2 years leading or coaching frontline staff in youth development.
• Commitment to high-quality early childhood education.
• Willingness to learn and grow with the program.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Staff Development: Guide and coach YDPs to deliver a high-quality TK/K program.
• Program Implementation & Engagement: Oversee activities aligning with BGCSL and BGCA methodologies.
• Early Childhood Development Outcomes: Monitor progress toward TK/K milestones.
• After-School Program Support: Assist in broader after-school program as needed.
• Safety & Emergency Preparedness: Implement safety drills and compliance procedures.
• Incident Documentation & Compliance: Support investigations and maintain safety records.
• Professional Development & Best Practices: Attend trainings to stay current in best practices.
• Child Progress Monitoring & Assessment: Track development and use data to inform learning.
