Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is seeking a Youth Program Leader to guide classrooms and deliver safe, engaging learning experiences for TK-8 students across Daly City and East Palo Alto sites. You will implement academic activities, mentor youth, and coordinate enrichment programs in a supportive team setting.

This part-time, hourly role involves 24-29 hours weekly, typically Monday through Friday, with afternoon hours.

Qualifications

• Commitment to BGCP’s mission and working with TK-8 youth.
• Experience building relationships with diverse youth communities.
• Ability to motivate through positive reinforcement.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexible in navigating a fast-paced environment.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of approximately 10-20 students per 1 staff.
• Provide academic mentoring and homework assistance.
• Lead students through academic activities.
• Adapt lesson plans for delivering enrichment classes and clubs.
• Conduct life skills and team-building activities.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and BGCP leadership.
• Engage in weekly check-ins and staff meetings.
• Maintain a positive, safe, productive work environment.
• Participate in supporting special events and field trips.
