Job summary

Ellipsis Construction LLC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on-site supervision of small to mid-sized tenant improvement projects in the Denver area. This role will help oversee trades, documentation, and daily site activities to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards.

You will coordinate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and trades, while growing toward a Superintendent role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of field experience in commercial construction, TI or fast-paced interiors.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Mgmt or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read plans and specs and ask smart questions early.
• Knowledge of construction means/methods, sequencing, and trade coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work daily on active job sites and assist with admin tasks.
• Proficiency with common construction and business tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in opening and closing jobsites and lead on-site when needed.
• Monitor day-to-day construction activities per approved docs.
• Assist with field coordination: scheduling, sequencing, logistics, staffing.
• Conduct site walks and quality checks, flag issues early.
• Coordinate daily work plans with subs and vendors.
• Maintain daily logs, photos, meeting minutes, punch lists, safety docs.
• Assist RFIs/submittals and verify field conditions.
• Support closeout through punch lists and turnover docs.
