Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Current and active state licensure/certification (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC) required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and empathy when working with individuals facing mental health challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments on admission, including substance use history and mental health factors.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling focused on motivation for change and relapse prevention.
• Facilitate family meetings and education on addiction and recovery.
• Coordinate discharge and aftercare planning with referrals to residential or outpatient treatment and community supports.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation, following facility safety protocols.
• Maintain timely documentation in the EMR, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families about community resources and support groups.
• Participate in daily clinical rounds and quality improvement initiatives.
