Job summary

Gray Media's KOTA/KEVN in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Technical Media Producer to direct live and pre-recorded productions, monitor on-air signals, and manage the playout server. On-site role with potential for diverse in-studio duties and breaking news responsiveness.

The candidate should be adept with Ross Overdrive, Crispin M.C.A., and VizRT Graphics, with a strong focus on reliability, teamwork, and tight deadlines in a dynamic news environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be punctual and have reliable transportation.
• Desire to learn television broadcast automation equipment.
• Experience with computers and Microsoft Windows.
• Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct live and pre-recorded productions as assigned.
• Monitor the station’s on-air signals, transmitter, and FCC logs.
• Ingest daily programming and commercials into our playout server.
• Direct specific newscasts and operate master control automation.
• Support in in-studio productions and maintain a clean studio area.
