Job summary

DHI-WFS is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain and secure satellite program environments across production and test systems. You will manage Linux/UNIX, storage, and disaster recovery while coordinating with cross-functional teams on a 9/80 schedule with occasional after-hours support.

The role emphasizes applying security controls, patch management, RMF compliance, and on-call availability for critical operations. Mentoring and leadership will be expected within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining IT environments for satellite program operations.
• On-site 9/80 schedule with occasional after-hours support during critical operations.
• Deploy, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Linux/UNIX systems in production and test.
• Support disaster recovery with NetBackup and Veeam.
• Install, secure, and monitor NAS/SAN storage (NetApp or equivalent).
• Apply STIGs, manage patches, and maintain RMF compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, harden, and troubleshoot Linux/UNIX systems, and support disaster recovery (NetBackup/Veeam).
• Install, secure, and monitor NetApp or other NAS/SAN storage.
• Apply STIGs, manage patches and upgrades, perform trusted downloads, and maintain RMF compliance.
• Execute changes through change-management tools and keep asset inventories current.
• Provide after-hours support when critical operations require it.
• Lead technical best-practice discussions, mentor peers, and coordinate with functional teams.
