Job summary

FALCATA is seeking a full-time, on-site System Administrator (SA) to support DoD/RMF compliant information systems. You will work with a focused team to sustain Linux (RHEL) environments, manage servers, storage, and virtualization, and ensure security controls align with RMF and STIGs.

Strong troubleshooting, network configuration, and communication skills are essential as you partner with IS Owners and the engineering team to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or better.
• 5+ years working in the field.
• Proficiency with Network Configurations and architecture.
• Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software.
• Knowledgeable of the RMF, DoD 8510.01, STIGs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in a small team environment.
• Ability to lift 40lb and rack servers.
• Current Active Secret Clearance; willing to hold TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux information systems (RHEL).
• Communicate with IS Owners to ensure systems meet needs.
• Harden systems to meet DoD security policies.
• Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining physical servers, storage arrays (SAN/NAS), and virtualization hosts.
• Perform system maintenance, updates, and backups.
