Job summary

Crane Nuclear, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to maintain and optimize our IT infrastructure, including Nutanix HCI, Veeam DR, and SCCM/MECM deployments. The role provides Tier 2/3 support to end users, with on-site presence in Bolingbrook, IL.

You will manage virtualization, backups, endpoint management, and network services while ensuring security and high availability. The ideal candidate has 3–6+ years of relevant experience and relevant certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6+ years of system administration, networking, or IT support.
• On-site daily with after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

• System Administration: Administer and maintain servers, virtualization, and storage.
• Manage and support Nutanix HCI environments (AHV, Prism).
• Configure, monitor, and test Veeam Backup & Replication for DR and restore.
• Administer SCCM / MECM, deployments, patches, and OS deployment tasks.
• Manage LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and adjacent network services.
• Provide Tier 2/3 end-user support and handle IT incidents within SLA.
