Position SummaryThe System Administrator / Network & Help Desk Engineer is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization’s IT infrastructure, including virtualization platforms, backup solutions, endpoint management systems, and network services. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of IT systems while providing Tier 2/3 support to end users.Principle Responsibilities:System AdministrationAdminister and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, and storage systemsManage and support Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) environmentsPerform system monitoring, patch management, upgrades, and performance tuningEnsure system security, compliance, and adherence to IT policiesBackup & Disaster RecoveryManage and support Veeam Backup & Replication solutionsConfigure and monitor backup jobs, replication, and recovery processesPerform regular backup validation and test restoresDevelop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) procedures and documentationEndpoint Management (SCCM / MECM)Administer Microsoft SCCM (Endpoint Configuration Manager)Deploy applications, patches, and updates via Software CenterTroubleshoot SCCM deployment failures and client issuesManage OS deployments, task sequences, and software packagingNetworkingManage and support LAN/WAN infrastructureConfigure and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issuesManage VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and network security controlsHelp Desk & SupportProvide Tier 2/3 technical support for users and IT systemsTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issuesManage IT tickets, incidents, and service requests within SLASupport end-user computing (Windows OS, applications, devices)Qualifications/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)3 – 6+ years of experience in system administration, networking, or IT supportAbility to be on-site daily and to provide after-hours support when neededTechnical Skills RequiredNutanix HCI (AHV, Prism)Veeam Backup & Replication (backup, restore, DR)Microsoft SCCM / MECM (deployments, patching, OSD)Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs)Windows Server administrationActive Directory, Group PolicyVirtualization technologiesPreferred SkillsExperience with Azure or hybrid cloud environmentsPowerShell scripting and automationKnowledge of IT security best practicesITIL framework familiarityRelevant certifications (preferred):Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MD-102, etc.)CompTIA Network+ / Security+Key CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProactive and detail-oriented approach$90,000 - $100,000This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work being performed by employees within this classification.
