Job summary

Harbor, Inc. is seeking a Supported Employment Job Coach to provide job coaching at worksites in the Cincinnati area.

This contingent, as-needed role supports individuals with disabilities to build skills for independent employment, handling documentation, progress notes, and coaching plans. The role involves evaluating work sites, breaking down tasks into trainable steps, and offering ongoing support and resources to help participants sustain employment.

Qualifications

• Two years teaching/training experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree with teaching/training experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance.
• CPR/First Aid Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must complete BCI/FBI background checks and six exclusionary database checks every 5 years per OOD.

Responsibilities

• Documentation: ensure quality and completeness of electronic records, timely notes, coaching plans and incident reports; maintain communication with funding source and supervisor.
• Evaluation: provide job coaching and JSST, evaluate work site safety and suitability, break down tasks into trainable steps, support client progress and inform on entitlements.
• Ongoing Interventions: provide individual/group coaching at worksites, coordinate referrals to vocational/community programs, offer benefits counseling and support for barriers to employment.
• Collaboration: assist clients and families with social supports, coordinate evaluations, monitor services identified in referrals, connect with vocational resources (OOD/ODJFS/BWC).
