Job summary

The University of Kansas Transportation Services is hiring a Transportation Coordinator for KU on Wheels. This on-site student hourly role supports marketing, outreach, governance, and service planning to improve transit for students, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Student Senate and Transit Commission, conducting public outreach during Orientation and Hawk Week, and collaborating with Lawrence Transit System. Requires limited hours and current student status.

Qualifications

• At least one year remaining before graduation as indicated in application materials.
• Ability to work approximately 10-20 hours per week during normal business hours (including summer).
• Previous work experience with Microsoft Office programs as evidenced by application materials.
• Previous leadership experience, as indicated in application materials.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute marketing and communications plans including social media and printed materials.
• Plan public outreach for transit services at Orientation, Hawk Week and other forums.
• Coordinate with Student Senate, Transit Commission and governance groups.
• Identify opportunities to improve transit services and coordinate with Lawrence Transit System.
