Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking a Transportation Services Student Hourly to support KU on Wheels. The role focuses on marketing and communications, governance liaison responsibilities with Student Senate, and conducting public outreach for transit services on campus.

The position also involves service planning improvements, collaboration with the Lawrence Transit System, and regular coordination with Transportation Services staff.

Qualifications

• One year remaining before graduation or plans to leave the University, as indicated in application materials.
• Ability to work approximately 10-20 hours per week during normal business hours (including summer).
• Previous work experience with Microsoft Office programs, as evidenced by application materials.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute marketing and communications plans and materials.
• Attend meetings (Student Senate, Transit Commission, Student Safety Advisory Board) and liaise with Student Senate executives.
• Plan and conduct public outreach for transit services at Orientation and Hawk Week and other events.
• Identify opportunities to improve service on transit routes, SafeRide, or JayLift, and coordinate with Lawrence Transit System.
• Coordinate with Transportation Services staff on all projects and issues.
