Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Student Success Coach for a full-time, on-site role serving K-3 students. You will coach two to four students through app-based core learning, identify gaps, and implement short, targeted literacy sequences designed to close those gaps.

You will stay with students through lunch and recess, guiding the day from launch to closing. The role emphasizes diagnostic planning, data-informed instruction, and dedication to helping every child reach daily learning goals with measurable

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at a campus listed above, with relocation support.
• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9 in relevant settings (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, etc.).
• At least 2 years coaching students on reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or similar; or a master's in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting gaps, asking critical questions, and guiding progress.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with small groups and diagnosing decoding gaps using running records.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and daily routines to keep kindergartners engaged.
• Driving students to weekly app goals with leaderboards and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, addressing frustration with a proactive plan.
