Job summary

Sonepar Vallen in De Soto, KS is seeking Storeroom Customer Service Representatives to support on-site purchasing and order tracking, ensuring price, quality and timely delivery that meet the organization's standards.

This in-person role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is temp-to-hire, and requires solid computer skills. SXE/SAP experience is helpful but not required; steel-toe shoes and business casual dress are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• CPM certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Review and approve inventory forecasts.
• Review and approve daily replenishment recommendations.
• Assess orders for expediting or de-expediting.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and select vendors to meet quality and price standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products; coordinate returns/replacements.
• Coordinate vendor returns for aging/overstock items and other liquidation tasks.
• Follow up on PO status with vendors and communicate with customers.
