Job summary

Sonepar Vallen in Hesston, KS is seeking a Storeroom Attendant to manage daily receiving, stocking, issuing and cycle counting at the customer site. This is an on-site, temp-to-hire role with hours Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–1:30 PM and mandatory overtime.

You will unload, receive and store inventory, issue items to site staff, perform cycle counts and enter data in web-based systems. A forklift may be used in the future; steel-toe shoes and a professional dress code are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ months relevant experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
• Forklift / cherry picker experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with MS-Office products.

Responsibilities

• Unloads, receives and puts away incoming product, goods, tools and/or equipment; checks for damage and discrepancies.
• Sorts, labels, moves and stores items according to product codes; optimizes space.
• Issues product to site employees and maintains stock records.
• Enters data into a database or system to maintain up-to-date stock records; responds to inquiries.
• Delivers tools or equipment to associate work locations; investigates lost or misplaced items.
• May repair, service and lubricate tools and equipment as required.
