Job summary

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Boca Raton team on-site. The role supports the CFO and finance team with day-to-day accounting operations and reporting.

You will collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financials and robust controls. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting foundation, hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, and strong Excel and ERP system skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows.
• Review, verify, and process invoices for accuracy and approval.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and support financial statement preparation.
• Analyze financial data and provide reporting insights to management.
• Support the CFO and senior leadership with accounting and financial initiatives.
• Assist with external audits and provide audit support documentation.
• Partner with Purchasing to ensure accurate financial controls and processes.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and other ad hoc financial projects.
