Job summary

Land Pride Inc. in Salina, KS is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This on-site role supports month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, with occasional peak tax hours.

The candidate will collaborate with Finance and Kubota headquarters, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with potential extra hours during peak times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field; 1–3 years’ experience is helpful but not required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Focus on detail and accuracy
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to stay on task with varying priorities

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information for preparing and booking journal entries.
• Complete a variety of month-end closing tasks independently.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting; clear reconciling items.
• Maintain and update standard monthly reports used by management.
• Provide support for requests from Kubota headquarters, and internal or external tax groups and audit teams.
• Research and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions.
• Support the CFO and Corporate Controller in providing information for ad hoc requests.
• Collaborate with others in the department to support accounting for international subsidiaries.
• Comply with data requests from government census and industry groups.
• Prepare sales and use tax reports and submit payments.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
• Follow safety regulations and wear prescribed equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
