Arcwood Environmental in Joplin, MO is seeking a Staff Accountant. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for recent graduates. You will support GAAP-compliant accounting and help maintain the integrity of financial reporting under the guidance of accounting leadership.

Responsibilities include AP/AR, billing, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with monthly close. You’ll prepare location-level financial statements, participate in budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; Entry-Level career.
• Recent or upcoming college graduates encouraged to apply; 1+ years of experience in accounting preferred.
• CPA Certification a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Core Accounting: AP, AR, billing, payroll, cash application, and GL activities.
• Financial Close: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close; journal entries, reconciliations, and draft statements.
• Statement Preparation: Prepare location-level financial statements and schedules; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Internal Controls: Maintain strong controls and accuracy of records across operations.
• Financial Analysis: Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and various financial analyses.
