Sheakley Workforce Staffing seeks a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to provide full-time safety coverage for a USACE construction project at Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC. The SSHO will ensure EM 385-1-1 and OSHA compliance, develop risk analyses, and supervise safety programs across all trades.

The role requires 5+ years SSHO experience on similar projects, EM 385 training, OSHA 30, and RMS expertise.

Formación

• Current EM 385 training.
• Minimum 5 years of SSHO experience on similar construction projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience supporting USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, Air Force, or equivalent federal projects.
• Hands-on RMS experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide full-time SSHO oversight for all active construction operations.
• Enforce EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and project safety requirements.
• Develop, review, and maintain Activity Hazard Analyses.
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and prepare reports.
• Lead subcontractor safety orientations and verify compliance.
• Chair safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; maintain documentation.
• Maintain RMS safety documentation and project safety records.
• Monitor demolition, excavation, trenching, crane, steel, roofing, scaffolding, and LOTO activities.
• Coordinate safety activities with Haskell, USACE, and subcontractors.
• Maintain continuous safety coverage during active construction.
