Job summary

Prodapt is seeking a highly technical Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) specializing in Environment Management and DevOps to join our engineering team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. You will own the health, uptime, scalability, and automated provisioning across development, testing, staging, and production environments, building guardrails and optimizing delivery pipelines.

The role emphasizes multi-tier environments, IaC, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years in an SRE/DevOps or Environment Management capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with automation tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• CI/CD Expertise: Experience structuring delivery pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Containerization: Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration via Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes ecosystems.
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Systems & Cloud Knowledge: Knowledge of Linux/Windows OS, networking basics, DNS/load balancers/HTTP(S)/VPCs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Work Arrangement: Must be able to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Environment Provisioning & Management: Standardize, build, and maintain multi-tier staging and production environments using IaC templates.
• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Design, implement, and optimize build/deploy automation pipelines with minimal downtime.
• Observability & Monitoring: Instrument monitoring, logging, and tracing; establish SLIs/SLOs.
• Automation & Orchestration: Reduce toil with automation scripts; manage container orchestration.
• Incident Response & Post-Mortems: Lead rapid incident resolution and blameless post-mortems.
• Capacity & Performance Management: Stress testing, load balancing config, and capacity planning.
