On-Site Solar & Storage Construction Manager

Zusammenfassung

AES is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage projects in Kansas on-site. You will act as the owner's representative, overseeing EPC contractors, safety, quality, and schedule adherence while driving cost control and compliance.

As a field-based leader, you will coordinate with the PM team, ensure close collaboration with landowners, and uphold AES Renewables & Power values to deliver best-in-class assets on time.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, and/or substation construction management.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred, but not a requirement.
• OSHA 30 Certified.
• Ability to travel and be on site 5 days a week.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with safety department to prioritize safety goals.
• Represent AES Renewables & Power values.
• Establish transparent communication with landowners about timelines and impacts.
• Manage on-site drone progress updates.
• Identify and manage environmental and safety impacts.
• Coordinate with DEQ/AHJ and EPC on environmental concerns.
• Deliver projects per company expectations and timelines.
• Foster continuous improvement and lead project closeout.
• Prepare and manage project execution plans and kickoff meetings.
• Direct AES on-site contract staff and approve timesheets.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and documentation.
• Oversee on-site monitoring of 3rd party EPC construction.
• Foster relationships with EPC contractors.
• Ensure construction of solar and BESS to contract and permit requirements.
• Conduct daily safety walks and address deficiencies.
• Drive schedule remediation with PM team.
• Review invoices and validate milestones.
