Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Solar Installer to join the team at the Paris, TX project site. This role builds and installs solar equipment following the schedule, with emphasis on safety and quality.

It involves assembling various components, using a wide range of tools, and performing site duties as directed by project leadership. The Solar Installer will work in a production environment with daily goals, handle materials, and maintain equipment and cleanliness on site.

Qualifications

• Experience with solar construction projects preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50 lbs.
• Ability to squat, crawl and work in awkward positions and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean job site and shake out material to the field.
• Bolt up clamps for solar panels.
• Hoist torque tubes into position and align/secure torque tubes.
• Set drive motors.
• Installation of dampeners and linkage between drive motors.
• Set and install solar modules.
• Tighten bolts to the proper torque specifications.
• Receive/stock materials and maintain accurate inventory.
• Quality control for the scope of work.
• Follow up with supervisor continually if issues arise.
