Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Solar Installer for a Tennessee Colony, TX project site. This role contributes to the safe and successful installation of solar equipment using a variety of tools, aligned with scheduled work plans. Additional duties may be assigned by project leadership.

The position requires physical endurance and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork in a production environment with daily goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18+.
• Experience with solar construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to squat, crawl and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean job site and shake out material to the field.
• Bolt up clamps for solar panels.
• Hoist torque tubes into position and align/secure torque tubes.
• Set drive motors.
• Installation of dampeners and linkage between drive motors.
• Set and install solar modules.
• Tighten bolts to the proper torque specifications.
• Receive/stock materials and maintain accurate inventory.
• Quality control for the scope of work.
• All other duties assigned by site leadership
