Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Field Service Technician II - Solar to perform in-person inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on solar sites around Las Cruces, NM. You’ll operate safely in high-voltage environments, mentor junior technicians, and progress toward Technician III as you gain experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on electrical work, I/V tracing, thermal inspections, and the ability to travel within the territory while maintaining a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on technical, electrical, or mechanical work in any industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive electrical and mechanical inspections of solar energy systems.
• Conduct advanced preventative maintenance including infrared thermography and insulation testing.
• Independently diagnose and troubleshoot system and operational issues.
• Create and maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Share expertise and guide junior technicians on site.
