Job summary

Apogee Engineering seeks a Software Engineer II to support the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Combatant Command, Command and Control (C2) Division. The role is based at Offutt AFB, NE, and is a full-time position at the Offutt AFB facility.

The engineer will review documentation, analyze requirements, design and implement software, and participate in an agile team. Strong IT and software development background, plus TS/SCI eligibility, is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software development, architecture, and lifecycle support.
• Ability to work within an agile software development team.
• Experience with documentation and code commenting practices.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze planning, requirements, design, and testing documentation.
• Evaluate feasibility and define solutions based on requirements.
• Develop documentation, diagrams, and clear code comments.
• Improve operations through systems analysis and policy recommendations.
• Support software licensing and vendor interactions, including testing.
