Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Staten Island is seeking a Social Worker to serve as the main contact for individuals seeking benefits and entitlements in the community. This on-site role supports workforce participants through the Career Connections Hub and coordinates referrals to JCC programs and external partners.

Qualifications include an MSW and at least two years in social services, with bilingual ability in Hebrew, Spanish, or Russian preferred.

Qualifications

• MSW is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in social services.
• Bilingual in Hebrew, Spanish, and/or Russian preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of assigned clients.
• Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments.
• Provide counseling and education on available services.
• Assist individuals with applying for benefits.
• Coordinate referrals to JCC programs and external agencies.
• Support workforce participants through barriers to training and job applications.
• Maintain updated records and report outcomes.
