Lake Michigan Credit Union is seeking a Social Media Intern in Grand Rapids, MI. This on-site, part-time internship supports the Social Media Manager and Specialist with daily tasks to boost engagement and brand presence.

You’ll help respond to messages, monitor trends, generate reports, and assist with light content creation while learning best practices and brand guidelines in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• College student or recent graduate pursuing marketing/communications field.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Experience with social platforms is a plus (FB/IG/TikTok/YouTube/LinkedIn/X).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to social messages, comments, and reviews across platforms.
• Assist with day-to-day management of organic social channels and trends.
• Compile weekly and monthly social performance reports.
• Support light content creation with design team (graphics, captions, templates).
• Draft and organize social content libraries and scheduling assets.
• Publish entry-level posts in line with brand guidelines and approvals.
• Track platform updates and competitor activity to inform planning.
• Assist in increasing campaign volume with repeatable tasks as needed.
• Ensure outputs align with brand and compliance standards.
