Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Louisville, KY, seeks a Site Engineer to provide technical and project management support for assigned facilities. This role ensures environmental and regulatory compliance across sites, coordinates consultants, and acts as liaison with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities cover the full project lifecycle from RFP development through construction oversight, budget and schedule coordination, and final certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience or studies in Solid Waste preferred.
• Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Office GPS is preferred.
• Experience with construction management including pavements, buildings, and earthworks is preferred.
• Experience in project management is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the site and its features.
• Understand and manage site permits including groundwater, surface water, solid waste, and air permits.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and site team to ensure compliance.
• Track site capacity and environmental activities; report to site manager.
• Prepare RFPs, bid evaluations, and act as project manager for technical contracts.
• Develop a five-year site schedule including expansions and compliance activities.
• Review and act on the compliance tracker to meet deadlines.
• Manage environmental submittals to avoid violations; coordinate budgets and schedules.
• Assist in budgeting and project planning for the next fiscal year.
• Meet with site management to review status monthly; travel between offices as needed.
• Read and speak English; travel as required.
