Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large or complex construction projects on-site in Florida. You will direct overall direction, completion, and financial outcomes while occasionally visiting the office for trainings and meetings.

You will build high-performing teams, manage safety, scope, schedule, and cost, and drive subcontracting strategies, CPM scheduling, and quality alignment with contract documents. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 8-12 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of industry standard software; Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops the project safety plan with corporate safety and provides jobsite leadership.
• Develops the project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements; mitigates high-risk items for contract requirements.
• Manages project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements; addresses deviations in project vitals.
• Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and documents; assists with execution.
• Creates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with contract documents and assists with execution.
• Leads project team motivation and maintains a positive work environment; supervises project staff and engineers.
• Develops the subcontracting strategy; reviews scopes and deliverables to ensure buyout integrity.
• Implements and enforces all contract aspects; leads risk mitigation and drafts contracts and purchase orders.
• Oversees insurance and bonds enrollment and manages compliance for trade contractors.
• Leads the development of the project estimate and coordinates with estimating team to meet obligations.
• Leads constructability and coordination reviews; creates CPM schedules for large projects.
