Job summary

Gilbane Building Co. is seeking a Project Manager II to act as the on-site leader, directing the overall project direction, scope, and financial outcomes on a medium-sized construction project in Florida.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and site presence daily, with accountability for safety, schedule, and budget. You will work with a collaborative team, draw on Gilbane’s training resources, and contribute to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget across diverse

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
5–10 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience on medium-sized construction projects and site leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

Contributes to project safety plans and provides site leadership.
Develops and enforces project controls, schedules, and change management processes.
Manages subcontracting strategy, contracts, and purchase orders.
Prepares CPM schedule updates and coordinates with project team and owner.
Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment and mentors direct reports.
